Before you sign, understand the bargain.
Contract Check helps your AI assistant compare a draft with the deal you intended, surface unclear terms, and prepare revisions for your review. Every substantive change starts with a finding and your choice.
A downloadable skill package for your AI assistant. The ZIP includes the instructions, reference guides, review forms, Python engine, and verification manifest. Download and install the entire archive to use the bundled workflow.
A complete toolkit for a review you can follow.
Contract Check is installed in your AI assistant. You supply the contract, your role, and the deal you intended. The assistant follows the bundled instructions, consults the reference guides, fills the review forms, and uses the Python engine when your host supports execution.
The package works together
- Instructions: SKILL.md tells the assistant when and how to use the skill.
- Five reference guides: review methods, transaction prompts, evidence rules, and runtime commands.
- Four forms: intake and term sheet, agreement outline, review record, and revision plan.
- Python engine and manifest: controlled edits, comparisons, reports, and bundled-file verification.
Your review produces
- A map of the deal and questions about missing material facts.
- Findings linked to contract passages, with consequences and proposed alternatives.
- Your recorded decisions to adopt, retain, defer, or customize a proposal.
- Approved revisions, a comparison with the original, and a record of checks and unresolved issues.
Available extraction and export formats depend on your assistant’s tools.
For the people making the deal.
Use it to prepare a focused conversation about a services agreement, license, payment provision, property option, or another contract. Attorneys and legal staff can use the same records to review proposed changes.
See what the draft actually says
- Compare stated instructions with contract language.
- Trace payment formulas, thresholds, and deadlines.
- Identify competing readings and missing context.
Keep judgment visible
- Review passage-linked findings and their consequences.
- Adopt, retain, defer, or customize each proposal.
- Keep the original, revised text, and change record.
Understand. Choose. Revise. Check.
The review follows the transaction, rather than filling every agreement with the same clauses.
Map the deal
Identify the parties, exchange, objectives, and unknowns that matter.
Find the decision points
Connect each issue to actual text or a documented absence.
Record your instructions
See the tradeoffs and choose which proposals to adopt.
Make controlled changes
Apply a version-bound plan and compare it with the original.
Review the result
Inspect changed amounts, conditions, references, and unresolved issues.
A clause. A consequence. A choice.
Illustrative examples with fictional facts. This display is not a live AI review; the actual skill runs in your assistant.
Draft: “Vendor earns a $500 bonus when sales exceed $100,000.” Your instruction: “We agreed the bonus starts at $100,000.”
Text: “exceed $100,000” Issue: Exactly $100,000 does not satisfy this wording. Effect: The threshold may differ from your stated deal. Option: “equal or exceed $100,000.” Decision: Confirm that the inclusive threshold was agreed. Status: Proposal only; no edit applied.
Download once. Keep the references with it.
The skill includes instructions, five reference guides, four forms, a Python engine, and a file-verification manifest. No separate repository checkout is needed.
Runs in your AI assistant
Use the complete skill in a host that supports skills, file access, and Python execution. PDF extraction and document exports depend on the host’s tools.
Forms for the review
Start with an intake and term sheet, an optional agreement outline, an evidence record, and a guarded revision plan.

Does this website review my contract?
No. This site distributes Contract Check. You run the skill in your AI assistant. There is no contract-upload form or chatbot on this site.
Is SKILL.md alone the complete skill?
No. It is the instruction entry point. Download the complete ZIP or .skill archive to include the references, forms, Python engine, and manifest. Upload the archive through your host’s skill installation interface and enable it.
Does the ZIP contain everything?
Yes, all implemented instructions, references, forms, and Python runtime are included. The host supplies code execution, file access, research, PDF extraction, and exports where available.
Can it change terms without asking?
The workflow requires your decision on substantive proposals. The engine requires an approved plan tied to the current document and an adopted or custom finding for content changes. Check the results yourself; these controls do not prove the analysis is correct.
Is it ready to rely on for a legal decision?
It is a development release. It can help organize issues and proposed wording, but real-contract evaluation, lawyer review, and host-specific behavior checks remain separate requirements.
Do I need a connector?
No external connector is required for the bundled review workflow. A connector is useful only if you want an assistant to access an outside service. Check that service’s access and privacy settings before sharing documents.
Where does my contract go?
You provide it to your AI host, under that service’s settings and terms. This website does not receive it. Review confidentiality obligations before uploading a real agreement; a conversation with an AI does not itself establish privilege.
Bring the contract and the deal you intended.
Start with a fictional or sanitized agreement. Tell the assistant whose interests you represent and what you want to understand.
