Using AI carefully

The tool organizes. You verify.

A polished revision can still miss a material term or misstate the law. Use the records to make review easier to inspect.

  1. Share only what you are authorized to share

Review confidentiality obligations and your AI provider’s settings before uploading a real agreement. Use sanitized examples while checking a new setup. An AI conversation does not itself create an attorney-client relationship or privilege.

  2. Confirm text extraction

Compare extracted text with the original, including exhibits, tables, signatures, footnotes, and tracked changes. The DOCX extractor reports fidelity warnings; it does not preserve every document feature.

  3. Check legal conclusions

Identify the relevant jurisdiction and transaction. Verify consequential legal claims against current primary authority. Course notes and drafting heuristics are research prompts, not controlling law.

  4. Review every substantive revision

Confirm that price, thresholds, dates, parties, conditions, exceptions, and remedies still reflect the bargain. An approval record proves that a choice was recorded; it does not prove that the choice was informed or correct.

What this site collects

This site has no contract-upload form, user account, or chatbot. Contract Check runs in your AI host. Hosting providers may retain basic access logs for site visits; your AI host handles the documents and conversation you give it.

When to bring in a lawyer

Get qualified advice before relying on a consequential interpretation, signing a material agreement, or changing risk and remedies you do not fully understand.
